In short, I have taken 19 specific specific certifications to achive role based certification as Web Developer, .NET Programmer, and Computer Programmer. Averaging the ranking among all my tests I am in the top 25% of those having taken the certification tests. My highest scores are in Business Communication, Written English, .NET framework, XML concepts, and Data Base Concepts. In all of these I scored in the top 10%. |

Woopra is an "InnovativeLive Tracking & Analytics" tool for your web sites. By putting a tracking code int the html of your pages or implementing a plug in for your CMS you can use woopra to see the details of the trafic that is using your site.
Since I have set up danflory.net as a site to promote myself as a programmer and require log in from my family and Bible study group I am able to see details about who is interested in my programming skils. I know that in the last 10 days I have had 14 visitors check out my site. I know the pages that each of these vistors looked at and the links away that they have clicked on. I know that I have had people check on me from Tampa, Nixa, Wheaton, Lexington, Denver, Lake Mary and other cities. I know that one person checked out all the pages on the site and then the next day came back from the same IP address and looked at several of my pages again. This is really encouraging to me because there is evidence that others are looking at my skills and considering whether I match their needs. Another feature I use is a column that tells me where back links come from. Several times Dan Flory was searched for on Google, sometimes resulting in a quick bounce out of the site (They were probably looking for another Dan Flory since one is a professor of philosophy, another is a Commercial Relationship Manager in banks and still another Dan Flory owns a design firm.)
On another site I manage I have my Joomla plug in set to automatically assign a Woopra visitor name to the log in name. With this I am able to see exactly who is returning to the site and the paths that they take. I could envision this being of great use, not only for the shopping cart site I use it on, but also for a manager with all of his team using a site for communication. If someone slacks off on doing the regular required readining it can be noted and addressed.
Currently, September 2009, Woopra is in beta testing and some features took a few minutes to figure out since the documentation isn't available (At least I haven't found it). Nontheless, It provides info that Google Analyitics doesn't. |
